After suffering with some lower back pain during certain movements in training I decided to seek specialist help from the ShireFit Physio. Booking in seamlessly online, I got an appointment with Daniel Powell very quickly. After a short movement assessment, Dan was able to quickly identify the key reasons for my discomfort. We worked on some rehabilitation exercises so that I knew how to perform them correctly and I was emailed some further mobility and strengthening exercises to continue as things improved and also some advice on what to lookout for in the CrossFit class. It is great to have a sports physio at the gym who knows the classes and movements that we do and is always available for consultation. Highly recommend this ShireFit service and the professionalism shown by Dan with his physio background. 

Physio at ShireFit is fantastic. It really helps that Dan fully understands the movements we use in the gym sessions, and is able to apply a whole analysis of your needs for CrossFit and recovery whilst still continuing to train through injury and suggest modifications to training to aid the recovery process. It’s great to have this total package and the sessions are simple to book!  

After damaging my Achilles at the beginning of 2017 and spending 12 weeks in a boot with copious amounts of cash spent on physiotherapy and acupuncture. 
I decided to stop going and deal with the pain. I started at Shirefit and made an appointment with Dan, who listened, assessed and gave me exercises that I could cope with.  The best part of having Dan as your physio and coach is he assess your movements while in the classes, after my second appointment and lots of strength exercises that I stick to every other day I can safely say I have just ran my first 10km since damaging my Achilles with no twinge and no aches the day after.  
I will make another appointment with Dan as I need to see how far I have come and if there’re any further exercises I need to be doing. 
Finding somebody that is passionate in their job as a coach and physio is very hard to come by and I am thankful for Shirefit in finding Dan.
